Event Camp

2025 Dates:

  • May 10-11 (Saturday-Sunday)

  • July TBD

  • October 10-12 (Friday-Sunday)

Sessions will be limited to 15 riders.  Please register early to reserve your spot.

Instructors:

Instructors vary depending on availability and number of riders. Past instructors have included Babette Lenna, Jerry Schurink, Ferial Johnson, Booli Selmayr, Erin Risso and Bevin Dugan. All camp trainers are ECP certified and have evented at the FEI 3* level or higher.

Schedule:

Stabled horses are welcome to arrive after 4pm the day before camp begins. A typical day of camp consists of morning and afternoon riding lessons, typically one flat and one jumping, as well as breakfast and lunch discussions about a variety of topics relating to eventing, horsemanship and training. We keep riding groups small and flexible so everyone can get what they need.

There is time during lesson blocks to watch other lessons or enjoy some quality time with your horse. We usually have a “W(h)ine and Cheese” around 5pm on Fridays/Saturdays for everyone to socialize and debrief on the day; we provide snacks and some beverages but people are also welcome to BYO.

Stabling:

We have on-site stabling, as well as some offsite options within hacking distance. Occasionally, a day stall is available, but priority is given to overnight horses. Turnout is not guaranteed for stabled horses, and hay/shavings are not included. Plan to bring at least 3 bags of shavings as stalls are large. Night check is provided for all stabled horses and the grounds are monitored with cameras.

Food:

We provide coffee, breakfast items, snacks and water throughout the day during camp, as well as refreshments for the “W(h)ine and Cheese” hour at the end of the day on Friday/Saturday. There are several good takeout options for lunch nearby we can share.
